The hotel was everything we'd hoped for and more. It brought old world NOLA charm and hospitality along with modern convenience. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, by the end of our stay we felt like they were family. Corey greeted us at the door every morning, bringing our car around, assisting with packages and anything else we needed. Guest services answered with a cheerful "How can I help you Miss ----" every time - even sliding a pizza menu for a late night restaurant under our door when we wanted a late night snack delivery - they responded to every request within minutes of our call. Everything was clean, well kept and we can't say enough about the food at the Bayou and Jack Rose - absolute excellence! the band at the Bayou provided the experience we'd always dreamed of - they were amazing! The location was close enough to everything we wanted to do within minutes and just removed enough that we had quiet and no craziness of the partying in the French Quarter. The view and experience of Hot Tin was one that shouldn't be missed!

The Pontchartrain Hotel was amazing. I was interested in this hotel for our first trip to New Orleans because it was in a novel that I had read, but I was unsure about the proximity to the French Quarter and other things that we wanted to see. Well fear not, there is a streetcar that stops right out in front that will take you just about anywhere you want to go. This historic hotel was beautiful and elegant with a charm I fell in love with. The room was very clean and comfortable and the maid service was outstanding. There is a charming breakfast restaurant, a rooftop bar, a fancy restaurant, and a lovely downstairs bar that features a live jazz band on certain nights. The food was delicious and the staff was simply wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel...wish I was still there!

Did not have breakfast at the hotel. We instead had dinner which was exceptional in presentation and quality. The Wait Staff (Skylar) was attentive and informative. The rain stopped and a table was prepared in the courtyard adjacent to the dining room which made it very intimate. The front desk (Gary L.) was unexpectedly helpful and respectfully reaching out, asking about our day and if we needed anything.

The location was ideal! The street car stops right in front, they have a great Bar with live music every night, the Jack Rose Restaurant is AMAZING and the rooftop bar was an added bonus. Overall, it was a great stay and would definitely recommend and stay there again. Special thank you to Tiffany and Kate at the front desk/check in for their exceptional service and customer service.

Monica

The dinner at Jack Rose was top notch and we felt was better than the Commanders Palace which is only a few blocks away. Really enjoyed the roof top bar as well. Live Jazz music at the downstairs bar was also top notch. Easy access to the Tram right outside the hotel was soo simple and took us nearly all the way to Bourbon St.
